Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) applies to all users of Rocket Fibre’s network and services (the “User”). Rocket Fibre reserves the right to modify this AUP at any time to reflect changes in the law, industry standards, or business practices. 2. Lawful Use

Rocket Fibre services must only be used for lawful purposes. Users must not use the service to transmit, receive, store, or distribute any material that:

  • Violates any applicable law or regulation.
  • Is defamatory, abusive, indecent, obscene, or otherwise offensive.
  • Infringes on privacy, intellectual property rights, or trade secrets.
  • Facilitates fraud, hacking, or any malicious activity.
  • Contains or promotes child exploitation or terrorism.

Any attempt to distribute, store, or transmit unlawful material is strictly prohibited. Rocket Fibre reserves the right to take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of services, if a violation is detected.

3. Network and System Security Violations

Users must not engage in activities that compromise network security, including but not limited to:

  • Unauthorized access or attempts to probe, scan, or test system vulnerabilities.
  • Unauthorized monitoring of data or network traffic.
  • Interference with network operations, including DDoS attacks, spamming, or malware distribution.
  • Use of Rocket Fibre’s network to facilitate hacking, phishing, or other fraudulent activities.

Users are responsible for securing their devices and networks connected to Rocket Fibre. Any device found to be compromised or involved in a violation may be disconnected from our network until properly secured.

4. Email and Messaging Usage

Users must follow ethical and legal guidelines when sending emails and other forms of electronic communication. Prohibited activities include:

  • Sending unsolicited bulk emails (spam) or chain letters.
  • Mailbombing (sending large volumes of email to disrupt services).
  • Falsifying email headers or disguising the sender’s identity.
  • Hosting services that promote or facilitate spam.

Rocket Fibre adheres to industry best practices and guidelines regarding email and bulk messaging and reserves the right to take action against Users violating these principles.

5. Hosting and Content Usage

Users hosting websites, applications, or services on Rocket Fibre’s network must not:

  • Publish or distribute illegal, fraudulent, or misleading content.
  • Use hosting services to facilitate spamming, hacking, or malware distribution.
  • Violate any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property laws.

Rocket Fibre reserves the right to remove or suspend access to any content that breaches this AUP.

6. Fair Use and Traffic Management

Rocket Fibre aims to provide an optimal internet experience for all customers. Users must not engage in excessive bandwidth consumption that negatively impacts network performance. In cases of extreme congestion, Rocket Fibre may implement fair-use measures to maintain service quality across the network.

7. Reporting Abuse

If you believe a User is violating this AUP, please report it to abuse@rocket-fibre.co.uk. Reports should include relevant details such as timestamps, IP addresses, and evidence of the violation.

8. Consequences of Violation

Rocket Fibre reserves the right to take necessary action in response to AUP violations, including:

  • Warning the User.
  • Suspending or terminating the User’s account.
  • Blocking access to certain services or content.
  • Reporting violations to law enforcement authorities where applicable.

Rocket Fibre will determine the appropriate action on a case-by-case basis.

9. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold Rocket Fibre, its affiliates, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, damages, or legal costs arising from their violation of this AUP.

10. Compliance with Regulations

Rocket Fibre complies with all applicable UK laws, including the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000. We will cooperate with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies as required.
